The Scriptures

We believe in the Divine and verbal inspiration and infallible authority of the Scriptures of both the old and New Testaments, and we accept the whole Bible as the Word of God and the only rule of faith and practice.

II Timothy 3:16-17
II Peter 1:19-21

God

We believe that the Scriptures reveal God as eternally existing, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, manifesting Himself in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, yet one in essence, power, and glory.

Genesis 1:1
John 1:1-14, 14, 18
Matthew 28:19-20

The Person and Work of Jesus Christ

We believe in the Deity of Jesus Chirst, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His substitutionary death on the cross for our sins, His physical resurrection from the grave, His ascension to the right hand of God where He ever lives to make intercession for believers, and His personal, visible, bodily return to earth.

Matthew 1:18-25
John 1:1-4, 14
Luke 1:26-35
John 5:17-27
Hebrews 7:25
Matthew 28:1-6
Philippians 2:6-11

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person possessed of all the distinctive Divine attributes. We believe that He is the Administrator of the things of God – convicting of sin, revealing Truth, energizing believers in matters of prayer and service, and restraining evel until “He is taken out of the way.”

Psalms 139:7-12
John 7:38-39
Acts 1:8
Romans 8:9
II Thessalonians 2:7

Man

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, that man sinned and thereby incurred physical and spiritual death, which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature. We believe the Scriptural record of the fall of man through disobedience to God, and that by nature all men are “dead in trespasses and sins”, utterly unable to save themselves.

Genesis 1:26
Genesis 2:7-9, 16-17
Genesis 3:1-19
Psalms 14:3-4
Psalms 51:5
Psalms 58:3
Romans 5:12, 19
Ephesians 2:1-3

Salvation

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe on and receive Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood on the cross and are saved through faith, wholly apart from human merit or words.

John 1:29
Titus 3:3-8
Acts 13:38-39
Acts 16:31
Romans 3:21-28
Ephesians 2:8-10

The Church and its Ordinances

We believe that a local fundamental Baptist church is a voluntary association of baptized believers equal in rank and privilege, subject to the Word of God, and independent of external ecclesiastical control. We believe that God’s Word commands believers — and only believers — to be baptized, and that the only Scriptural mode is immersion. We believe that the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper should be observed, as Christ said, “in remembrance” of His broken body and shed blood for us, and that neither the Lords’s Supper nor Believer’s Baptism has any saving power.

Mark 16:16
Acts 2:38
I Corinthians 11:23-32
Ephesians 2:8-9

Evangelism

We believe that it is the obligation of every believer to be a personal soul winner and to do his utmost to carry out the Savior’s command to proclaim the Gospel to the whole world.

Mark 16:15-16
Acts 1:8
Proverbs 11:30
